Write ideas down: I will be walking around and think "wow that's a great idea for the blog" then get in front of the computer and completely blank out. So I have learned to write things down. I try to carry a notebook with me, but don't always remember it. I have sticky note's everywhere. I don't have a perfect method yet but It is getting better all the time .
Use paper and pencil: Sometime I just have to close the computer and start writing, going though notes, organizing my thoughts on paper. when I try to do this with the Computer open more often then not I end up trying to find more information or ideas and end up making every thing to complicated.
Research before you post: I find that the quality for my articles is much better if I have all the information I need before I start to write (including pictures). I go through my note's and picture's and even sketch out a layout for the article.
Organize everything: I am pretty good at organizing things in the physical world, but not so good at doing this on the computer. i have learned that it makes my life a lot easier if I organize as I go. A folder for the blog. Inside that folders for each page, inside them folders for each article etc. This is way easier then lets say having one folder for pictures because once you get over 40 or 50 pictures then your have to search thought to many.
